Quarrie, CD, was presented with a proclamation from New York City’s Public Advocate Bill de Blasio; a letter of recognition from Leroy Comrie, council member, 27th district, Queens and deputy majority leader of the New York City Council; and a special award from Team Jamaica Bickle.

The Caribbean dominance at the annual Penn Relays is continuing for another straight year, as proven Thursday by Jamaica’s Ristananna Tracey and Puerto Rico’s Marcos Sanchez.Not even a rain storm could cool the Caribbean heat as Sanchez of Turabo University, Puerto Rico claimed victory in the Penn Relays decathlon by 127 points over second-place Anya Uzoh from Penn State.
Miami FC travels to the Caribbean to face the Puerto Rico Islanders on Saturday, Aug. 7 at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium in the final game of this summer road swing. The Blues are looking to make a push for the playoffs in the final two months of regular season play. The game is set for an 8:05 p.m. start time.
