The NASL has named Fort Lauderdale Strikers goalkeeper Matt Glaeser Defensive Player of the Week. Glaeser made five saves on his way to holding the Puerto Rico Islanders offense to one goal and securing a point for the Strikers on Saturday night at Lockhart Stadium.
"This honor is a show of the form Matt has been in over the last few weeks. He has been a consistent factor in our current six game unbeaten streak, and if he keeps performing at this level we will continue to create opportunities to move this team forward," said Head Coach Daryl Shore.
