Floral Tribute - 95TH Anniversary of the Birth of the Most Hon Michael Manley

Please see below photos and captions regarding the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) hosting of a Floral Tribute to commemorate the 95TH Anniversary of the birth of the Most Honourable Michael Manley, Former Prime Minister of Jamaica, on Tuesday, December 10 at the National Heroes Park in Kingston.

The celebratory event saw a number of national and civic leaders in attendance and was also attended by Mrs. Glynne Manley and Joseph Manley, widow and son of the former Prime Minister respectively.

shepherdBorn on December 10, 1924, the Most Honourable Michael Norman Manley served as the fourth Prime Minister of Jamaica from 1972 to 1980 and from 1989 to 1992. Manley was a recognized author, trade unionist, connoisseur of sports and political leader, serving as the President of the People’s National Party from 1969 to 1992.
