Mayor Tomas Regalado, Commissioner Richard P. Dunn II and Miami-Dade County Commissioner Audrey M. Edmonson will be part of a delegation from Miami that will head to Port au Prince Haiti this Friday to break ground for what may be the first building erected in Port au Prince since the January earthquake that devastated Haiti according to Mayor Jean Yves Jason, Mayor of Port au Prince.
A group of Jamaican citizens on Thursday wrote Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister, Patrick Manning, urging him to terminate the current negotiations with Kingston concerning the pending sale of Air Jamaica.
During a recent official royal visit to Trinidad and Tobago, Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex and his wife, Princess Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, visited the Hyatt Regency Trinidad in Port of Spain. Here, they met Mr. Russell George, general manager of the hotel, on arrival to a dinner hosted by the royal couple and sponsored by the British High Commission. With the royal yacht moored adjacent to the Hyatt in the Gulf of Paria at the Port of Port of Spain, the Earl and Countess of Wessex spent two days on the islands to mark the occasion of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, signifying 60 years of the Queen's reign. The visit culminated with a dinner in the Jade Room of the Hyatt Regency Trinidad hotel on February 29, 2012. 
The Prime Minister of Belize, Hon. Dean O. Barrow, will be making his first official visit to South Florida from June 25-27, 2010. The visit will give an opportunity for Prime Minister Barrow to engage with the Belizean Diaspora to view and expand on investment and development partnerships.
Jamaica welcomed the first AirTran Airways flight from Baltimore today. To officially kick off the new nonstop service, travelers were greeted in Montego Bay with a Jamaican celebration.
