Failure to Convict Michael Dunn of First Degree Murder a Travesty That Must be Rectified in Second Trial
Today a jury found Michael Dunn guilty of three counts of attempted murder and one count of firing a deadly weapon in a November 2012 shooting which left 17-year-old Jordan Davis dead. The judge declared a mistrial on the charge of first degree murder and a retrial may be scheduled for later this year. Advancement Project Co-Director Judith Browne Dianis issued the following statement in response:
“There is no right more fundamental than the right to live. As the prosecution proved, Michael Dunn needlessly fired one shot after another into an SUV filled with unarmed teenagers whose only crime was having the audacity to challenge a stranger’s demand to turn down their music.

Dear Mr. President,
That crazy group called ironically FAIR has already gone into overdrive ever since the announcement that a Republican set of immigration “principles†will be floated to the House GOP caucus. A certainly proactive bunch indeed! You, Democratic and left wing groups, should take a page from their book.
On Jan. 15, the group released a press release to the national media slamming back at Republicans who are trying to come up with some solution to the issue of 11.5 million undocumented immigrants in the United States without forcing the U.S. Senate bill down their caucus’ throats and scaring them further right.
Men are always whispering sweet nothings in the ears of women, who fall for the sweet, syrupy words. There’s a reason why they call it sweet nothings for, usually, they’re sweet but have nothing behind them.
“Oh baby, you mean so much to me, you’re the only one in my life.†Many times these lines work and the ladies fall for them, hook line and sinker. So many are gullible, believing everything that comes out of the man’s mouth, while others are just plain desperate, as they want to be had by a man … at any cost.
