MIAMI-DADE – The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners approved an ordinance on Nov. 8 sponsored by Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava that corrects a surprising “glitch” in the County Zoning Code that created a major barrier to residents and businesses seeking to recycle.  Even though recycling has been required by law since the 1990s in Miami-Dade, the County Code did not require that certain developments identify space for recycled materials in many zoning districts.
