The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) conducted its inaugural offering of the Immunization Champions, Advocates & Mentors Program (ICAMP) Academy in Rosemont, Illinois, in October. This first academy welcomed more than 50 immunization champions from a variety of healthcare settings. GSA will conduct four ICAMP academies in 2016 — in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington, DC, and Phoenix. ICAMP is designed as a multidisciplinary program to equip health care providers to champion adult immunization practices that improve public health and the quality of care for the people they serve.
