Constituents, In Tallahassee, interim committee meetings for the Florida Senate have officially begun! I am looking forward to working with other members of the Senate to create the best legislation for Florida. Regular session convenes January 9th, 2018 and ends March 9th. During regular session, I will be working primarily in the Tallahassee office. However, there will be staff working in the district office to assist with any and all matters. I am confident in their abilities to serve our district effectively.
The City of Miramar staff continues to work tirelessly and diligently to ensure our services to you are being met.  We are committed to you and this City, with efforts dedicated to vital services, water resources, clearing of roads and debris, electricity restoration, functioning traffic signals, transportation, social services, and other areas of safety. 
The Consulate of Belize in Florida continues to offer Belizean Passports and Emergency Travel Documents. We are also issuing Identification Cards, facilitating many Belizeans living in Florida with the opportunity to hold an official ID from Belize. Acceptance of these cards at U.S. offices and other institutions, however, depends on their discretion.  
In spite of the challenges Florida is facing from Hurricane Irma the elections on September 26, 2017, in Miami-Dade County will still be held as scheduled. The League of Women Voters of Miami-Dade County is committed to making sure voters have the information they need to vote in this special election.
