PHILADELPHIA--When Pres. Barack Obama addressed hundreds of thousands of people at the Democratic National Convention here on Wednesday night, he implored Americans that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is the only one qualified to serve as U.S. President. He also mapped out briefly what he had done on health care, marriage equality and criminal justice for the last eight years, and slammed Republican nominee Donald Trump as "not really a plans guy" and "not really a facts guy."

CLEVELAND – “The walls that they build to keep us apart will never be as strong as the walls in our hearts,†activists sang. Hundreds of demonstrators from across the nation gathered in front of the Republican National Convention in an attempt to “wall off†Trump. Organized by Mijente, a Chicago-based group, the crowd illustrated their solidarity with the undocumented community and inclusion for all by creating several large banners meant to mimic the wall Trump promises to build on the U.S.-Mexico border. Several protesters also linked hands together to form a human fence in an attempt to block Donald Trump from entering the RNC.
PHILADELPHIA — As Asian American elected officials and community leaders take the stage here this week at the Democratic National Convention, the formidable presence and political force of Asian American voters on the nation’s electoral decision-making process can no longer be ignored. Measured by the growing Asian electorate — which is projected to double from almost 6 million in 2016 to 12.2 million in 2040 — and the increasing number of Asian American congressional candidates, Asian voters can now shape and influence the elections, according to the Asian American Pacific and Islander (AAPI) Vote.
