A popular South Florida church is getting a jump start on the New Year's fitness craze , offering a program that combines spirituality classes and exercise to get enthusiasts and amateurs on track. The program, Fit for Love, offers a different approach to losing weight and overall health and wellness. Miami Dade College (MDC) will once again offer free medical, dental and vision screenings to hundreds in the community at its popular Fifth Annual Community Health Fair, sponsored by Aetna, which will take place at the college's Medical Center Campus, located in the heart of the city's medical district, on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.The fair, free and open to all ages, will include glaucoma, glucose and cholesterol tests, some mammograms,  information on nutrition, heart disease, cancer prevention, a blood drive, and so much more. This year's new event will be a “Stress Relief Zone that will include free chair massages and more.

Get Fit Doral is a city-wide community initiative to increase physical activity, promote healthy eating and build awareness of health issues.
