Aventura Hospital and Medical Ceter welcomes Elizabeth Calzadilla-Fiallo as its new Marketing and Public Relations Director.
Prior to joining Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, Ms. Calzadilla-Fiallo served as the Media and Public Relations Manager for Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department, a position she held since 2006. She previously served as the first bilingual Public Information Officer at the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Todd Florin as the new Medical Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr. Florin has been active member of Aventura Hospital's Medical Staff for more than a decade. Previously, he served as Director of Electrophysiology and Medical Director of the Pacemaker Center at the Miami Heart Institute. Dr. Florin also served on the University of Miami faculty.

Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Jonathan Cross as new Medical Director of the Primary Stroke Center. Dr. Cross has been an active member of the medical staff of Aventura Hospital and Medical Center since 2000 and recently joined the hospital's Board of Trustees.
Dr. Cross has been instrumental over the past few years in helping to develop and expand Aventura Hospital's Primary Stroke Center, which earned a Certificate of Distinction and recertification by the Joint Commission last November and also became the first program in Dade County to earn the American Stroke Association's Get With the Guidelines Stroke (GWTG-Stroke) Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award.
Today Legacy launched an online rebuttal aimed at providing accurate information to counter the Understanding Menthol website created by tobacco manufacturer Lorillard as the FDA reviews and considers how to treat menthol-flavored cigarettes.
