One year ago, on December 15, 2017, little 2-year-old Carnell Williams-Thomas was gunned down in the courtyard in front of his apartment in South Dade. Carnell was doing what most 2 year olds do: riding his scooter, playing with family members and friends. This was a sad, heartbreaking time for the community, but what is equally as sad is that one year later, his killer has not been brought to justice.
How uncaring have we become as a community that we would allow a 2-year-old to be killed and no one says a word? People know who did this; people know the hurt that this tragedy caused the family and community, and people know the consequences of being silent when these murders go unsolved.
I ask this community to please come forward and help us bring those responsible to justice. Anyone having information can call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS or 1-866-471-8477. There is a $37,000 reward available to anyone with information that will solve this crime. Community, we are depending on you.”
