Margate to Host Free Fishing Clinic For Kids on Saturday, May 26th

MARGATE, FL (April 27, 2018) – The City of Margate will host a Fishing Clinic on Saturday, May 26th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, located at 7044 NW 1st Street in Margate.

city of margateChildren ages 12 and under are invited to the hands-on clinic that will teach them the sport and basics of fishing. The event will also give participants the opportunity to go fishing with experts. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Register now through Friday, May 25th at the Parks and Recreation Office, 6199 NW 10th Street, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. There is no entry fee, but spaces are limited. 

All fishing equipment and supplies will be provided.

The Clinic is presented by the City of Margate Parks and Recreation Department, Community Emergency Response Team and the Youth Environmental Alliance - YeaFrog.
