MIAMI, FL – August 9, 2017 –The Black Owned Media Alliance (BOMA) is excited to announce the 3rd Annual Get to Know Black Media: A Symposium.
On August 19th the Third Saturday Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk will be held from 5:00 pm to 10:00pm. In addition to live music, gallery openings and cultural programming, the event features a free guided walking tour of the award winning Downtown Hollywood Mural Project, a live performance of Impulse Art by internationally acclaimed “foot-painter” Daniel Pontet and the Downtown Hollywood Artisan Market.
Established in 2000, Girl Power has been a place of refuge and restoration for many young girls between ages 11-17. Through its myriad of services and programs, Girl Power encourages young girls to build confidence, competence and pride within themselves. The organization also provides workshops and materials that inform girls about the risks and consequences associated with substance abuse, low self-esteem, lack of education and more.

Registration will open at 8:00 am.
