MIAMI-DADE – The Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) Governing Board on Oct. 19 unanimously approved a resolution directing the Executive Director of the TPO to take the necessary steps to advance the North and South Dade Transitway Corridors of the Strategic Miami Area Rapid Transit (SMART) Plan to Priority 1 in the Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and the Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP).
MIAMI (October 02, 2017) — Due to the success of last year’s “Kitetober” kite festival at Haulover Beach Park, the event is expanding to two-days, October 21 and 22, 2017, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  The event returns with an armada of kites in just about every shape, size, and color imaginable, as well as free kiting activities for all ages. This marks the 25th season for this popular family-style seaside kiting event, presented by the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department and Skyward Kites.
