MIAMI (August 02, 2016) —  Today the Miami-Dade Elections Department will mail more than 215,000 vote-by-mail ballots for the August 30, 2016 Primary Election. Voters with a request on file are encouraged to be on the lookout for their ballot in the mail and are reminded of the following:

Grant will be used to fund a documentary about the history and legacy of Miami’s Richmond Heights Community.  MIAMI – June 29, 2016 – The Historic Society of Richmond Heights is pleased to announce that it was recently awarded a $5,000 Community Projects Grant from the Florida Humanities Council. The grant will be used to help fund a documentary about the history of Miami’s Richmond Heights community developed for Black World War II veterans in 1949.
