As a prelude to Miami-Dade Public Library Systemâ€™s â€œInternational Art of Storytelling Family Festival Dayâ€, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. April 27 at the Main Library, the Library System will present â€œTales Under the Starsâ€ at 7 p.m. April 9 at the Key Biscayne Branch Library, 299 Crandon Blvd.
African American storyteller Donna Kokumo Buie, also known as Mama Koku, will headline the evening.

Beginning April 1, low-income individuals living in Miami-Dade County can receive assistance with their utility costs through the Community Action and Human Services Department Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

The City of Miramar in South Florida is sponsoring the second annual South Florida Multicultural Games featuring Jamaicaâ€™s University of Technology at 3 p.m. April 29 at the Ansin Sports Complex, 10801 Miramar Blvd.
The games will offer a track and field meet that features athletes from the Caribbean.
