Caribbean Saturdays Move Back To The Biz 880 Am

Caribbean Saturdays, currently aired on WHIM 1080 AM from 9:00 am to 10:00 p.m. will move to WZAB 880 AM effective January 6, 2018.

Radio personalitiesThe move is due to the sale of WHIM 1080 which will change format to Spanish Christian radio. WZAB is a very powerful station and allows the Caribbean programs to reach a wider audience covering the Palm Beaches, Broward, Miami-Dade and the Bahamas quite easily.

Caribbean Saturdays features Don Daly & Rosie with the Caribbean Upliftment Program from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm; The Caribbean Connection with Mike Andrews, 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm; Caribbean Riddims with Eddy Edwards, Cleve Osborne & Gillian Smart 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Florida Caribbean Sportsline hosted by Oliver Solomon from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

"We are pleased that Salem Communications decided to keep the block of Caribbean programs together and accommodated a smooth transition back to WZAB 880 AM," stated Don Daly of CRI Communications, "It is like going back home as this is where we were in 2016."

Caribbean Saturdays started on WVCG 1080 am over thirty years ago and was at the forefront of Caribbean Programs in the early eighties led by the late Arnold "Trinidad" Henry.

Caribbean Saturdays with Don Daly, Mike Andrews and Eddy Edwards has been the most successful and consistent block of Caribbean programs in South Florida for the last 33 years. Despite change in ownership of the station and change in dial over the years, the block has remained together and have developed a loyal listenership. that will definitely increase with the move to the more powerful address on the radio dial.
