New York, New York (April 23, 2017) One of the most exciting aspects of reggae culture took place inside Amazura nightclub in Queens, New York last Saturday. It was the second annual US Rumble nationals, produced by Irish and Chin, seven sound systems entered a musical "war" for a spot in the international Irish and Chin World Clash competition.

This funny musical tells the poignant story of a young boy named Danny who doesn't want to eat his peas, so he makes a deal with a monster who appears underneath his kitchen table.
Kingston: In 1996, two unlikely Jamaican artists, DJ Bounty Killer and singer Richie Stephens teamed on a song called "Mania" that was included on Bounty's 'My Xperience' album. The combination proved lethal and immediately set the dancehall world in a musical frenzy. Almost 22 years later, Bounty and Richie have partnered again, this time with Richie's Italian Ska Nation band on a hot new Ska track called "Bad Boys In Town."
NY: Jamaican music pioneer Daddy U Roy, who ruled the charts in the 70s with hit singles, 'Penny For Your Song' (with Derrick Harriott); 'Stop that Train;' 'Dread in a Babylon;' 'Wake The Town;' 'Rule The Nation' and 'Wear You To The Ball' (with John Holt) is set to perform In Queens on Sunday, June 25. 'The Originator, as he is known, has earned an invitation to perform at New York's Groovin In The Park at Roy Wilkins Park where he will join reggae/rocksteady hitmaker Freddie McGregor, chart topper Ken Boothe and music magician Leroy Sibbles.
NY: On Memorial Monday, May 27, 2017, NY based Irie Jam Radio, 93.5 FM, WVIP will kick start the station's 25th anniversary celebrations with a mammoth Caribbean party billed Oracabessa BLISS that will take place at Eisenhower Park, Nassau County in Long Island, NY. Station CEO Bobby Clarke said the silver jubilee celebration will run for one year and will include numerous events and activities that will be unveiled in the upcoming weeks.
