The Dean Collection is an art collective founded by producer, rapper and art collector Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean and his wife Alicia Keys. The Dean collection over the years has built a family art collection collecting works from renowned, established and upcomingartists across the world with primary focus on the support of living artists. The Dean collection has developed platforms that encourage progress in all facets of artistic practice.

The highly anticipated National Finals of the National Festival of the Performing Arts will take centre-stage at the Little Theatre in Kingston come Tuesday, April 2. Organised by the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC), an Agency of the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the annual Festival will see performers from across the island compete in Jamaica’s premier cultural showcase for a chance to take home a national title in the areas of Traditional Folk Forms, Drama, Speech, Music andDance.

Past participant of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) Jamaica Visual Arts Competition and Exhibition and prolific painter and visual artist, Kimani Beckford will launch his first solo exhibition tilted Affirmation at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Kingston, on Sunday, March 24, beginning at 3:00 pm.

Past medal winner in the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s (JCDC) Visual Arts Competition and Exhibition, Kimani Beckford has launched with much success his first solo exhibition on Sunday, March 24, at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Kingston. The ceremony which highlighted an array of Beckford’s notable pro-black works began at 3:00 PM.
