Jamaica’s cultural and entertainment capital Kingston will host international celebrity stylist and designer Indashio, winner of VH-1’s highly rated GLAM GOD reality series, as he unveils his latest collection at STYLEWEEK JAMAICA, July 9-11, 2010. Indashio, is no stranger to Styleweek and Jamaica, having made an impressive debut at the 2007 staging, where he received wide acclaim for his bold cuts and use of fabric.
ImageInternational R&B star Usher has just been added to the stellar lineup of reggae, R&B and hip hop artists set to perform during Jamaica’s 18th Annual Reggae Sumfest, the world’s premiere reggae festival, in Montego Bay from July 17-24, 2010. Winner of five Grammy, eight Soul Train and 19 Billboard Music awards, Usher will join reggae heavyweights Shaggy, Beenie Man, Tarrus Riley, Queen Ifrica and international R&B star Chris Brown – just to name a few – to bring the Reggae Sumfest stage to life for more than 30,000 music fans.

Carl Young, chairman of Irie FM, Jamaica's first all-reggae radio station, died on Thursday in Chicago, Illinois, his long-time friend Bob Clarke told The Sunday Gleaner.

Clarke said Young had been ill for some time but did not give the cause of death. He said he was in his early 80s.

Alexander, who has the distinction of being named one of the greatest piano players in Jazz history, is set to bring his `Summer Celebration` to Dizzy's Jazz Club at Lincoln Center from Tuesday July 20th to Sunday, July 25th.
