NY: Music lovers in Brooklyn, New York are in for a treat on Saturday October 29th when a Caribbean celebrity mom stages an empowerment concert to bring focus to domestic violence awareness. The event is being called ‘Repairing The Bridge’ and the featured artists include R & B and gospel music icon Melba Moore alongside soca’s biggest legend The Mighty Sparrow plus reggae star Rayvon.
Internationally renowned Jamaican artist Jesse Royal will release his first album Lily of Da Valley via Easy Star Records on October 6th, 2017. After multiple successful singles and mixtapes, including the breakthrough song “Modern Day Judas,” which has over 10 mil YouTube views, the 14-track Lily of Da Valley marks Jesse’s debut full-length release.

On that day, the Caribbean Diaspora and friends of the Caribbean will take action to support Caribbean countries ravaged by recent hurricanes Irma and Maria, including what is shaping up to be a multi-platform media-thon.
