Miami-Dade County Public Schools has served the community over the last century, improving education and offering quality programs for families. Over 75 years ago, the school district took it a step further, offering its first adult and community education program at Lindsey Hopkins Technical Education Center.

Students at School for Advanced Studies in Homestead organized a student protest on March 14, 2018, following the deadly school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The teens are pictured with Advanced Placement Government teacher Cody Kimmel. The school was named the top school in Miami-Dade County according to U.S. News and World Report’s best high school rankings.

Miami, – Today, four Miami Dade College (MDC) students have been named recipients of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s prestigious Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, a highly competitive national scholarship that provides students with up to $40,000 a year to complete their upper division studies.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.  – St. Thomas University has launched the Center for Pandemic, Disaster, and Quarantine Research (STU PDQ), designed to track the impact of emerging, expanding, and extended pandemics and disasters on all socio-economic aspects of society.
