Miami, Jan. 31, 2018 – Get the scoop on hundreds of educational and career training opportunities available at Miami Dade College’s (MDC) eight campuses and outreach centers during the Spring Open House events at various locations. The events are free and open to public.
Martin Luther King Jr.’s insistence on education opportunities for minorities will take the spotlight next month when representatives from nearly 200 colleges and universities participate in the 2018 Miami National College Fair in South Florida.
This year marks the seventh year of the City of Miami Gardens’ Science and Engineering Fair. A brain trust of Councilman David Williams Jr. (Seat 5), the annual event gives students the opportunity to showcase their work in science, engineering and technology, all while competing for cash prizes.
The Rockhouse Foundation hosted its 13th annual benefit at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater in New York City, raising over $260,000 to help transform the places where Jamaica’s children learn and support the people who teach them. This year’s fundraiser was the most successful in the foundation’s history, bringing the total raised and invested in projects and programs to over US $4 million.
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados – A 22-year-old Trinidad and Tobago national has won the 2018 Commonwealth Caribbean Rhodes Scholarship ahead of students from Barbados, Dominica, St. Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda and The Bahamas.
