Jamaica’s Minister of Education Ruel Reid has called on the Jamaican diaspora to partner his government in establishing a national school bus system.

(Miami) – The Board of Trustees of Florida Memorial University (FMU) has announced that a major leadership change will take place.  Dr. Castell Vaughn Bryant has been appointed Acting President of FMU, effective Monday, November 20th. Dr. Michelle Howard-Vital, the University’s current interim president, is on medical leave.
Miami, Nov. 15, 2017 – Miami Dade College Foundation awarded 100 scholarships to deserving students as a result of a successful I AM MDC Day on Sept. 6, MDC’s annual day of giving and pride.  “I come from a family of five and I am the first to go to college. It has not been easy to pay for college, but with the help of financial aid and this scholarship, I will be able to continue pursuing my dreams,” said Joseline Donoso, a journalism student pursuing an associate degree at MDC. “I want to thank all those who make this beautiful journey possible for us.”
