Miami is the unofficial crossroads of the Caribbean and Miami Book Fair usually includes prominent writers from the region. This year, the fair is scheduled to run Nov. 11-18 on the Wolfson Campus of Miami Dade College in downtown Miami. Weekend readings and discussions will feature more than 500 authors for a variety of ages and interests, including programs in English, Spanish, French, and Haitian creole.

Members of Jamaica’s diaspora in the United States will have the opportunity to discuss issues of concern during a three-day summit this month in Georgia. The Jamaica Diaspora USA Leadership Summit 2018 is scheduled for Nov. 16-18 at the
Morrow Center in Morrow.
