Partnership with Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust for Housing Empowerment Symposium

On Wednesday, August 4, 2010, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, the Office of Miami-Dade Chairman Dennis C. Moss, the Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust’s (MDEAT) Housing Advocacy Committee and several local nonprofit, lending and real estate agencies will join forces to host the first South Dade Housing Empowerment Symposium. The event is scheduled to take place at the South Dade Government Center located at 10710 SW 211 Street in Cutler Bay and is Free and open to the public.

Attendees can expect to receive assistance with various concerns and issues related to Credit and budget restoration for future homeowners, the current housing market including understanding the foreclosure process, how to avoid foreclosure scams/pit falls, the New Real Estate market and its purchasing trends and opportunities, and other pertinent information regarding homeownership. Homeowners will also receive assistance in submitting loans for modification from the HOPE Loan Port. Pre-approved borrowers can also expect to receive assistance in preparing for the upcoming Fannie Mae/REDC Housing Auction.
