Mayor Hosts Ceremony at Public Safety Training Institiue

Image“The Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute will provide a new level of public safety training for both local and federal agencies right in our own backyard, and I’m proud to say that Miami-Dade County will be leading the way for future training institutes nationwide,” said Mayor Alvarez.

The new MDPSTI will be a multi-agency facility in order to meet the mutual training needs between the Miami-Dade Police Department, the Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department, and the FBI. The facility, the first of its kind in the nation, will also be open to other federal agencies. All participating agencies will have on-site staff operating within the institute located at the Miami-Dade Police Department Training Bureau’s site.
