"Broward County is Counted!" "The City of Oakland Park is Counted!" "The City of Tamarac is Counted!" "Lauderhill is Counted!" "Pembroke Pines is now Counted!"

One-by-one Broward County Commissioners, City Mayors and Commissioners, Broward County's Complete Count Committee, and community representatives dropped their U.S. Census forms into the mail, each proclaiming that they wanted to be counted on April 1, National Census Day.

Guyanese communications professional Dawn Skeete Walker, who previously served as a deputy press secretary for Mayor Michael Bloomberg, has been appointed to lead the New York City Housing Authority's (NYCHA) new Office of Public-Private Partnerships.

Peter, Webley, publisher of the South Florida monthly newspaper, Caribbean Today, will be inducted into the Miami Dade College (MDC) Alumni Hall of Fame in the field of journalism.

Described as one of the pioneers in Caribbean media in South Florida, Mr. Webley founded the Caribbean Today newspaper in 1989, now in its 21st year.
