Banker is New Honorary Consul in Pennsylvania

Philadelphia-based banker Christopher Chaplin is Jamaica’s new honorary consul for Pennsylvania.

ChirsChaplin, who succeeds the late Dr. Alston Meade, assumed the post in April. It had been vacant for five years.

Chaplin is senior associate with Opportunity Finance Network in the United States. He also has banking experience in Jamaica.

“I am greatly honored that the Government of Jamaica, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, has seen it fit to appoint me to this very important position,” said Chaplin.

“It is a position in which I am strongly committed to serving the Jamaica’s interests in the state of Pennsylvania.”
