BROWARD COUNTY, FL - March 14, 2017: The Board of County Commissioners authorized the Housing Finance and Community Redevelopment Division of Broward County to enter into Development Agreements with ten Broward County nonprofit housing agencies, awarding four lots to each, for the purpose of constructing a total of forty new affordable single family homes in the Broward Municipal Services District. The nonprofit agencies are required to build homes with a minimum of 1,500-square-feet, three bedrooms, two-baths and a two-car garage. Agencies shall obtain permits within six months and complete construction 12 months after permitting.
