(Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) – United Way of Broward County will launch its latest volunteer-based campaign, Power of U… Change Starts Now, at the first annual All White Affair on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  

MIAMI – The Black Affairs Advisory Board under the Office of Community Advocacy joined the rest of the country commemorating the legacy of black civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who was assassinated 50 years ago. The tribute ceremony took place on Wednesday, April 4 at Miami-Dade’s Downtown Government Center.

Minister of Education, Senator Ruel Reid (second left) accepting the keys to Broward County by County Commissioner Dale Holness (third left) at the Third (3rd) Biennial Advancement Education Summit recently held at the Miramar City Hall.  The three-day Summit was hosted by the Jamaica Diaspora Education Task Force and attracted a large turnout of attendees from education related institutions both in Jamaica and here in the USA, as well as alumni associations and other charity groups here in the Diaspora.
