Hillside, NJ, May 31, 2018 – The NAAHP in partnership with Florida International University (FIU) and the City of North Mi-ami will be bringing the largest gathering of Haitian Diaspora professionals back to the greater Miami area. This year’s confer-ence theme – The Haitian Diaspora: Disrupting and Redefining the Road Ahead will be taking place from October 25 – 27, 2018 at the Kovens Conference Center, located on FIU’s Biscayne Bay Campus in North Miami.

In partnership with the Miami-Dade County Public School System and the United Way, One Community One Goal continues to inspire high school students through its Career Connections program. 

The Food Festival of The Americas, an event hosted by the Organization of Women of the Americas (OWA) took place this year on May 20, 2018. The purpose of the festival is to fundraise for the empowerment of women and children in the Americas by showcasing the culture and gastronomy of the nation-members of the OAS. 

Miami, May 30, 2018 –Miami Dade College (MDC) School of Justice, Public Safety and Law Studies will offer a course in Major Crimes in Trinidad from Tuesday, June 26 through Friday, June 29.  The Major Crimes program was developed for security and law enforcement personnel tasked with responding and investigating major crimes such as homicides.
